Day 1 – Launching the AI Millionaire Experiment
Welcome to the very first update on our journey to discover whether generosity and curiosity can turn an ordinary person into an AI millionaire! Over the past few days we’ve laid the foundation for this unique experiment, and today we’re excited to share our progress.
Building the Home of the Experiment
After securing the domain nevercare.nl, we moved it over to Strato and installed WordPress as the backbone of our site. To make sure everyone around the world can join us, we’ve set the site language to English and chosen a clean, responsive theme that looks great on all devices. We also created a distinctive site icon to help you recognise us in your browser tabs.
Introducing the AI Millionaire Experiment
Our homepage now tells the story behind this project: my name is Friso Wiggers, a tech enthusiast and everyday professional who dreams big. Instead of seeking venture capital or launching a traditional start‑up, I want to see what happens when we appeal to the generosity of people who are fascinated by artificial intelligence and its impact on our future. This isn’t a charity or a product launch—it’s an experiment in human kindness. Can we raise one million euros to give someone the chance to pursue education, invest in AI research and push new ideas forward? We’re about to find out!
Creating a Transparent Donation System
Thanks to the GiveWP plugin, we now have a fully functioning donation page with a goal of €1 million. Each donation moves the progress bar forward and brings us closer to answering our central question. In the coming days we’ll be adding a navigation menu so you can easily find the blog and donation pages, as well as a place to display the latest progress. We’ll also start reaching out on social media and beyond to invite people with a passion for AI (and a bit of spare cash) to join our journey.
